Support Workers and teachers. The difference in his being from when sitting in the auditorium to being under the marimba absorbing the vibration across his whole body was astounding. From underneath, he was one with the instrument—an extension to the marimba.

He would have a fullness of sound that people sitting in the front few rows at a performance wouldn't experience, those in the back few rows wouldn't experience, either. Every single one of us, depending on where we're sitting, will experience this quite quite differently.

The interesting thing about this as well is quite simply that not only are people connected with sound—which is basically all of us—we recognise well now that music really is our daily medicine.

Sound is always there, part of the universe. All around us whether we consciously listen to it or not.

Here and now for example you might think you see me touching the instrument, and so expect to hear the sound in your head and indeed you think you do hear sound but actually—you hear nothing
